Multi RUBISS Aust Ch Teviot Scot O Lauderdale "Scot"
Being owned by Scot is a joy - he is a quiet, gentle, couch-potato and a gentleman, but he hides a funny and excitable boy inside.
Scot is a Beagle Specialist judge's type of hound who loves to show most of the time, but does have his days where the ground under his feet is just all wrong and there's no moving him, as he proved when being judged by Ann Phillips (UK) in Nov 2006, but then went on to win BOB the very next day under Penny Carmichael (UK,) with faultless style! Movement - that's one thing you can't take away from him, & being a big boy (just on 16") he has beautiful movement which ever way you look at him.
Scot took RUBISS & Reserve Challenge dog at the 6th National Beagle Champ Show in 2003, at the tender age of only 10 months, as a Junior, judged by Ann Phillips (UK), and also took RUBISS & Challenge dog (in Open class) at the Vic Beagle Club Champ Show under Barbara Roderick (UK) in Sept 2005.
Scot has produced some lovely offspring, from which there are three Aust Champions, two tan and white girls and a tri boy. Scot has a tri colour grandson, Russell, who was Reserve Dog at the Adelaide Nationals in 2009. He now has 5 more grandsons and a grand daughter, some of who will be starting their show careers shortly. I also still have plans for Scot as a sire in the future, but otherwise he is now enjoying his retirement in comfort at home. He might still get to show in Veterans at some stage in the future, as he still loves to show.
Thanks so much to Jean Godfrey for breeding this lovely boy, and for allowing me to become his "Mum", and have so much fun with him.
